Ferrari 288 GTO (288=2,9 lt, GTO = Gran Turismo omolago) was the first "Supercar". Originally build as Homologation Car for Group B racing, which was cancelled later. Only 272 cars were produced, all in "rosso corsa" red colour.

2,9 lt. twin turbo V8 DOHC 4 valves engine developed 400 PS @7000 RPM. Enough to reach 288 km/h.
