The Porsche Fuhrmann Type 587/1 was the final evolution of Ernst Fuhrmann's legendary four-cam flat-four engine, developed for the Porsche 356 Carrera 2000 GS.

This animation shows the complete assembly sequence of the engine, beginning with the crankshaft and progressing step by step to the fully assembled power unit. The reconstruction is based on extensive research and original technical documentation and forms part of my ongoing series of digital cutaway illustrations of historically significant Porsche engines.
